Craig Pindell was born and raised in Cheyenne Wyoming and has lived most of his life in Wyoming. His work, first as a Pipefitter/Welder, and later in reliability and planning, has allowed him to travel and photograph extensively throughout Wyoming, the United States, Canada and Australia. He is currently working as a consultant to industrial plants across the US.

For Craig, photography began as a hobby and quickly evolved into much more. Thanks to unending support from Katie, his wife of many years, and the support of his family and friends, Craig has been free to indulge his passion for photography for most of his life. His love of the medium has led to work as a photo stringer for Associated Press and United Press International. He also worked as a photo curator for the Wyoming State Museum and State Archives, and has been published in many magazines and newspapers. In addition, Craig has taught beginning photography and darkroom courses at Laramie County Community College.

Photographing Anasazi ruins and artwork has been Craig's main focus the past several years. The adventure of searching the canyons of the Colorado Plateau for glimpses into the lives and history of the elusive culture continues to capture his imagination. He still enjoys photographing landscape and nature's abstractions, but the Anasazi comes first.

Since the horrible events of September 11, 2001, Craig has marked the anniversary of the tragedy by creating a photograph at the exact time the first plane hit the World Trade Center. This ongoing project assure the day will be marked and remembered, at least by one person.
